Program Description

Event Details

In 1852 Fort Howard Military Post was abandoned by the U.S. Department of War.  Many of the structures were either moved or torn down, but what about the stockade?  What started as a discussion over an old map has become an ongoing study about what happened to the stockade.  With the work of surveyors, historians, and public land records, some of these questions may be answered, including "Where exactly is Fort Howard's stockade?"
