The relationship between adolescent social media use and mental health is critical to understanding how we can best support youth. This talk reviews the current evidence, including 3 proposed hypotheses, how this debate aligns with previous technological advancements, and strategies to support youth’s technology use with resources from the Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health. Presented by Megan Moreno, Professor of Pediatrics and Affiliate Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This program is made possible through the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Badger Talks.
