Mr. Fintan Mullan and Ms. Gillian Hunt of the Ulster Historical Foundation in Belfast, Northern Ireland, make a return visit to share extensive information about the sources available to discover Irish and Scots-Irish ancestors.

Part of their mission is to broaden access to historical documents and records for Irish and Scots-Irish genealogy and to inspire pride in Irish and Ulster heritage and culture. 

Topics include: 

  • Introduction to Irish and Scots-Irish Family History Research
  • Records Related to the Different Churches in Ireland
  • Using Irish Land Records: Griffith’s Valuation, Tithe and Estate Records
  • An Introduction to Archives in Ireland and Their Websites

This program is part of the Foundation’s USA March Lecture Tour series and is made possible in part by a grant from the “Miller/Anthes Family Fund” within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
