Rain gardens are designed areas of native plants to soak up rainwater. Learn about the process of planning, designing, installing, and maintaining these crucial plantings through a step-by-step guide. Bring your smartphone or other device, a limited number of paper copies and library Chromebooks also available. This interactive workshop also includes plant lists, displays and activities to familiarize you with testing for filtration/soil type, the proper slope, and more. Presented by Maria Otto, Conservation Corp Coordinator, City of Green Bay.

This workshop is another collaboration of the Brown County Seed Library partner organizations: Brown County Community Gardens Program; Brown County Library; Green Bay Botanical Garden; New Leaf Foods, Inc.; Northeast Wisconsin Master Gardeners Association; University of Wisconsin – Green Bay; UW-Madison Extension Brown County.
