Option (11 am-12 noon): Stay to join a volunteer work party for hands-on experience. Dress for the weather.

  • Led by Maria Otto, City of Green Bay Conservation Corp Coordinator. 
  • Start in the park’s heated shelter with a 30-minute presentation, then take a guided walk through park areas where invasives such as buckthorn are being managed. 
  • Review pictures and examples to help you learn to identify invasive plants that have become common in Brown County.
  • Discover why even attractive invasives cause harm, how they spread, and what you can do to help control them.
