Program Description

Event Details

Designed for young creators entering grades 6-8, this three-hour workshop led by Brown County FIRST Robotics takes you through the full "digital to physical" workflow. Discover the exciting world of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using the Onshape platform to create 3D models from scratch.

Once your design is complete, you will learn how to prepare your model for the real world by creating STL files and using 3D slicing software. See how a digital idea becomes a physical object!

Because 3D printing takes time, your custom creations will be printed by BCFR mentors and delivered back to the library for pickup one week after the class.

No prior CAD or 3D printing experience required.
