Celebrate National Women's History Month with the National Railroad Museum. Entrepreneur Fred Harvey employed many women in his "Harvey Houses" that dotted the Santa Fe Railroad from the 1880s to the 1960s and employed "Harvey Girls." These women were known for helping to civilize the West when anything beyond Kansas was considered wild country.
