Space in raised beds is at a premium. Ecologist and Master Gardener Vicki Medland will share lessons she’s learned through many years of trial, error and practice to get the most of out her tiny plots. You will learn about soil mixes, selecting seeds and plant varieties, germination and genetics (including GMO versus hybrid and heirloom varieties). These details will help you optimize spacing, timing, and transplanting, maximize productivity and minimize disease and pests. Vicki has written about plants, gardening, agricultural biodiversity, and co-managed the UW-Green Bay heirloom plant sale for 20 years.

Plus, pick up some information about the Brown County Seed Library and the 10th Garden Blitz!
