"We Will See You Bleed": Author Visit with Ron Currie

Award-winning author Ron Currie will discuss his newest book, We Will See You Bleed (Putnam, July 7, 2026). This darkly funny literary crime novel is a prequel to his previous USA Today bestselling novel, The Savage, Noble Death of Babs Dionne, which was widely critically acclaimed and is now in development as a limited series for Netflix with Stranger Things creators, the Duffer Brothers. Both stories are set in the author’s home state of Maine, where Ron is on the MFA faculty at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. Stephen King calls We Will See You Bleed “a thriller in the best sense. You can’t put the damn thing down, and the story of these down-and-outs fighting the powers that be will stay with you a long time."
