Celebrate Aldo Leopold Week with a conservation fair; booths will be hosted by local conservation organizations showcasing hands on activities, information on how to get involved, and more! Next, a attend community reading of select essays from the conservation classic A Sand County Almanac (bring a copy if you have one!) followed by a public screening of the Emmy award-winning documentary film Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for our Time, which explores the life and legacy of Wisconsin conservationist Aldo Leopold. Coordinated in partnership with the Aldo Leopold Foundation.
Schedule is as follows:
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm: Conservation Fair
2:00 pm – 2:30 pm: Readings from A Sand County Almanac
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm: Screening of Green Fire
